Early access · Invites start November 2026
Engineering moved to AI. Your product docs didn't.
Coding agents can't work from a PRD, a Figma link and a Slack thread. So they guess, or engineers skip product altogether. Specline turns your product thinking into structured, visual specs that AI and engineers build from directly, so product stays in the driver's seat.
Spec an AI agent for your team, an app, or your own version of the SaaS tool you're overpaying for.
First 30 sign-ups get a 30-minute session with me to spec their first project. Invites start in November 2026.
Why now
Whoever writes the spec now decides the product.
Agents work from what's written
AI coding agents take work straight from specs and tickets. What isn't written down doesn't make it into the product.
Product docs weren't made for agents
PRDs, slides and design links are made for people in a meeting, not for an agent that needs every rule and edge case spelled out.
Spec tools speak engineer
Spec-driven frameworks are text-only and live in the codebase, so product people get left out of the step that matters most.
Specline puts product back at the start of the line: your judgment, your users and your rules, in specs that agents and engineers build from directly.
Who it's for
For the people who know what's worth building.
Product leaders
Put your product judgment into specs that AI builds from, instead of tickets that get misread.
Domain experts and ops leads
Capture how your team really works (the rules, the exceptions, the systems) so what gets built actually fits.
Teams tired of costly SaaS
Paying too much for a tool that does too much? Start from its website, get specs for your own version, and review them.
How it works
From your idea to specs the factory can build.
Specline does the framing and the questioning with you, then keeps your specs structured as they evolve.
- 01
Get interviewed, not handed a template
Say what you're building (an AI agent, an app, or an app with AI features) in one sentence. A guided interview then frames it the way a senior product person would: who it's for, how it's done today, the knowledge and systems involved, how it should behave. Most answers are a click.
- 02
Shape a visual Product book
A product brief, use cases, business rules, workflows and diagrams, cross-linked and readable by anyone. Ask for a revision, compare it with the current version, then accept or reject it.
- 03
Hand it to your factory
Download the specs, ready for any AI coding agent or your engineering team. Publishing to GitHub as a pull request is coming soon.
Want your own version of a tool you already use? Enter its website. Specline reads its public pages, suggests what kind of product it is, lists its features with links to where it found them, and pre-fills the interview for you to review.
Built for iteration
Specs that keep up with your thinking.
Iterate without losing the thread
Every revision the assistant suggests is compared with the current version, and you accept only the changes you like.
Git for your specs, without the Git (coming soon)
Publish to your team's GitHub repository as pull requests. Engineers review spec changes like any other change, and you never open a terminal.
Works with any AI coding agent
Specs are plain files in an open format with a standard AGENTS.md, so they aren't tied to one model or tool. AI agents also come with a ready-made setup for Claude Code.
Agents, apps, or both
Spec an AI agent, a software app, or an app with AI features. Start from an example (knowledge Q&A, outreach, booking app, CRM with AI follow-ups and more) or describe your own.
Safe to try
Built so you can try it with nothing at stake.
Nothing to install
Specline runs in your browser.
No Specline account
Your drafts stay in your browser until you export them.
Never runs your code
Specline doesn't execute generated code or touch your real data.
Yours to keep
Open-format specs in a zip you download. No lock-in.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
What do I get with early access?
Access to Specline before it opens to everyone, from November 2026. The first 30 people also get a 30-minute session with me to spec their first project together. Early users shape what comes next.
When will I get access?
Invites start in November 2026 and go out in batches. You'll get an email from me when it's your turn. Telling me what you want to build after signing up helps me prioritise.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Specline is made for people who know what should be built and for whom. You answer questions and review the specs in plain language. The building is done afterwards by an AI coding agent or your engineering team.
What can I spec with it?
AI agents (knowledge Q&A, support replies, outreach, document processing, data Q&A, or your own combination), software apps such as a booking app or an inventory tracker, and apps with AI features. You can also start from the website of a SaaS tool you use today and get specs for your own version.
How do the specs reach engineering?
Download a zip of the specs alone, or, for AI agents, the specs plus a ready-made project setup (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, checks, CI gates, architecture and deployment docs). Publishing to your GitHub repository as a pull request is coming soon.
Which AI models and coding agents does it work with?
Any. The specs are plain, open-format files, so you can hand them to Claude Code, another coding agent, your own software factory, or a team of engineers.
How much does it cost?
Early access is free. If paid plans come later, early users will hear about them first.
Who's behind Specline?
I'm Baptiste Picard. I've spent 15 years building products at YOOX Net-a-Porter, Pivotal Labs and Cognism, and I now build AI agents for teams across Europe. Specline is the tool I wanted for turning product judgment into something AI can build.

Privacy note
When you join the waitlist, I store your email and, if you give them, your role and company and what you want to build, along with the campaign link that brought you here. I use this only to email you about Specline early access and to decide who to invite first. It is never sold or shared.
